Shot this the night of 5.10.08

I used my 8"F6 Newtonian with a modified Quick Cam Pro 9000 shooting at 1600 X 1200 at 5FPS. This cam is awesome for lunar and planetary imaging. 100 frames processed with Virtual Dub (to make compatible with Registax) Then Processed with Registax. (Both Free Programs)

I modified the cam using these instructions from Gary Honis. Amazing astrophotographer. [link]

I'm mucho more happy with this over my first try :)

Enjoy!

A life is just a story with a rocky beinging and a smooth ending..Dreams do come true you just have to belive within yourself and the possibilties are endless:)
at a look at my :gallery:
Nice shot. This is actually about the amount of detail I can detect visually at around 190x with my scope.

Bad astronomy humor:

Yo mama\'s so fat, that from some line of sight, she\'s gravitationally lensing a quasar.
Great shot!
